Drone Racing League Announces Online Tryouts For 2020 Season

Will Award $75,000 In Prizes, One Coveted Racing Contract

The Drone Racing League has announced the schedule for its online simulation 2020 tournament, with one pilot winning a contract from the league.

And, for the first time ever, DRL is giving away $75K in total prizes throughout this epic, two-month tournament. This is a chance for aspiring DRL pilots to compete without having to travel. Anyone with a computer can download the DRL SIM, enter Tryouts and play to become a pro.

The simulation can be downloaded beginning February 3. There will be 12 online qualifying tournaments between February 18 through March 26, with the final races being webcast April 2.

Complete 3 heats on the 2020 tryouts track and you’re automatically qualified to join the weekly online tournaments. There’s no time cut off. If you can complete the track 3 times, you’re qualified to compete. Once you qualify on the 2020 Tryouts Track, you can join any of the 12 weekly online tournaments held every Tuesday and Thursday between Feb 18th - March 26th.

Each week is a different track. During the tournament, you have 30 minutes to set your fastest time in a Solo Race. The Top 24 will battle it out bracket-style to become the overall winner. Every tournament winner automatically advances to the Finals.

DRL is the global, professional drone racing circuit for elite pilots. With custom built racing drones traveling 90 MPH+, pilots race FPV (First Person View) through the most insane 3D courses ever created outside of a video game.
