Southwest Aerospace Occupies New Facility

Corporate, Admin Offices Finished At Georgetown Exec Airport

Southwest Aerospace Technologies (SWAT) announced that the move of its corporate and administrative offices to their new facility at Georgetown Executive Airport (KGTU) has been completed and the maintenance hangar is now fully operational.

Work to finish the office spaces and adjacent areas was being done while aircraft maintenance activities have been underway at the 12,000 sf hangar for several months.

The expansion has bolstered SWAT’s service offerings and enabled the operation of a full-service aircraft MRO facility.

Kurt Encinias, President and CEO of SWAT said, “We are very excited that our new MRO is open for business. The expansion of our maintenance capabilities allows us to provide customers with the full range of services to meet all their maintenance needs.

“We have the capacity on-site to perform aircraft inspections, routine maintenance, unscheduled maintenance and aircraft modifications or upgrades, as well as engine removal and replacement. We look forward to welcoming customers to our facility.”

In addition to the new facility, the company operates an FAA/EASA/CAA/TCAA certified Part 145 Repair Station in east Georgetown with its warehouse and inventory of parts and components. SWAT is also an Authorized Starlink Distributor, one of the few in Texas.

SWAT’s long-term lease with the City of Georgetown for the hangar and adjacent space totals 41,000 sf and its size gives the company the opportunity to continue its strategic expansion.

Encinias added, “We are committed to serving the needs of our worldwide customer base,” added. “Expanding our facilities along with our capabilities allows us to provide customers with more extensive maintenance support as well as help position us for continued growth.”

A grand opening celebration at the new facility will be held on July 9th.
