IndUS Aviation To Display Revamped Thorpedo At Sebring

2008 Models Offer New Equipment, "Show Quality Fit And Finish"

The Sport Aircraft Expo at Sebring, FL is set to kick off later this week... and planemakers are eager to display their new models. One of those companies is Dallas, TX-based IndUS Aviation, which will display its heavily revamped Thorpedo LSA throughout the show.

Representatives with IndUS say their 2008 planes will sport new standard equipment, as well as "show quality fit and finish" (an older model is shown above.)

"We have been observing the market and are dramatically 'upping the ante,'" said Scott Severen, Director of Marketing and Sales for IndUS. "We are adding many standard features with no increase in the cost of the aircraft. In addition, we have refined our manufacturing processes to substantially improve the quality, fit and finish of our aircraft. This is a markedly different airplane than we offered a year ago!"

Visible on the outside are a sleeker engine cowl, boarding steps, wingtips with enclosed landing lights. The company also refined the aircraft's sliding canopy.

The interior is adorned with a new durable wrinkled finish panel with all engraved markings and placards, and stainless steel kick plates on the carpet flooring.
Not immediately visible, but still important, improvements include a fireproof firewall coating, pass-through connectors, braided stainless steel fuel and oil lines, and all aircraft-grade circuit breakers and switches.

Perhaps best of all, Severin states current customers may also take advantage of the upgrades applied to new models.

"As a part of our customer commitment, we are offering many of these items as a no cost 'Refreshment' from the factory," he said. "Other upgrades may be added at on an "At Cost" basis.
