Cirrus Achieves Record Sales - Again (74 Planes!)

February Marks First 70+ Aircraft Month

Winter is typically a cool time for general aviation aircraft sales. However, upon closing the February book of business, Cirrus revealed that aircraft sales for the month established yet another company record for single month performance. For the first time in company history, Cirrus surpassed 70 new aircraft sales in one month to set an all time company record of 74.

“Frankly we don’t pay too much attention to projections and historical data,” states John M. Bingham, executive vice president sales and marketing.

“Industry projections would have you believe that the market is flat, yet Cirrus realized a 62% sales increase last year. Historical data indicates that the dead of winter is a slow time for aircraft sales, yet Cirrus has already sold 130 new aircraft in calendar 2004,” he added.

Even more amazing about Cirrus sales success is the “direct to the customer business model” that means each reported sale is to someone who will begin flying the aircraft – not to an aircraft dealer stocking inventory on the ramp for the manufacturer. Furthermore, neither fleet sales nor fractional group sales factored into the January and February sales figure.

Cirrus’ aggressive plan to become the largest manufacturer in the personal transportation aircraft segment continues to gain momentum. The growing volume of customer demonstration flights, the accessibility of 12 regional offices, an increasing presence in strategic international markets and excellent customer service from 84 Authorized Customer Service Centers increases customer demand for a brand/product that meets customer expectations.
