Goose, Alexa For The Cockpit

Streamlines Checklists, Reduces Pilot Workload

By: Gene Yarbrough

Goose, the digital copilot developed by MiraLou Aero LLC, revolutionizes flight assistance with its advanced AI capabilities. Designed to support pilots in both routine and complex scenarios, Goose provides voice-activated checklists.

It's user-friendly interface and seamless integration with existing avionics systems enhance situational awareness and flight safety. By automating routine tasks and offering predictive insights, Goose allows pilots to focus more on strategic flying and passenger safety. MiraLou Aero's innovation with Goose marks a significant leap in aviation technology, promising to make flying safer, more efficient, and more enjoyable for aviators worldwide.

Goose is an AI-based voice assistant that brings the experience and the safety aspects of a multi-crew flight in single-pilot operations. Developed as a mobile App for your phone or tablet, Goose is always there for you - working entirely offline.

During the flight, Goose takes the role of the pilot monitoring and offers information, guidance and targeted support whenever needed. In addition, Goose collects detailed flight data that provides information about the pilot's actions and the corresponding flight behavior of the aircraft to automatically fill out the flight log that is accessible in the Goose Cloud App.

Talk to Goose like a human co-pilot. Only a few people would understand expressions like “Zulu time”, “tree” or “niner”. Goose does. Trained to have a deep understanding of aviation phraseology, you can talk to Goose like a human co-pilot – directly via your headset. All information is ready for you. There are so many nitty-gritty details to keep in mind when flying an aircraft, and so much information you need during your flight. Goose has them ready for you. All of them. All you have to do is ask for it.

Goose can provide customers with customized information and checklists configured by the customer for their individual aircraft and individual needs. The app allows users to access their own personally configured information or information developed by other operators for any aircraft thru community shared information. Goose is your pilot monitoring. It keeps an eye on everything happening during the flight and gives you targeted support in critical situations. No more searching for the right procedures in your manual, no more paper clutter to search through. All the information you need is just one voice command away.

Goose seems to be a beneficial application of AI technology on the flightdeck. Currently only offered on Apple platforms, hopefully expanded to android systems soon.
