PGA-Portugalia Airlines Signs Lifetime FLYFokker Take Care Contract

Six Aircraft Covered By The Agreement

PGA-Portugalia Airlines and Fokker Services have agreed to a Lifetime FLYFokker Take Care contract for the support of their six Fokker 100 aircraft. The contract, which was signed last December 31, names both the ABACUS services and Fokker Services as preferred preferred suppliers.

Fokker Services developed the Take Care solution for existing operators. It focuses on increasing Technical Dispatch Reliability (TDR), reducing Direct Operating Cost (DOC) and improving passenger comfort. ABACUS is the component availability program of Fokker Services, which is fully geared to keeping the aircraft in operation by offering guaranteed availability of serviceable components and customized component repair and overhaul services.

As of the first tier Fokker 100 operators from 1990 that bought the aircraft new, Portugalia was also one of the first operators to join the ABACUS program. "We are extremely proud we have signed this contract with Portugalia, a very highly regarded customer for decades", says Erik Goedhart, VP Marketing & Sales Fokker Services.

As part of the agreement Portugalia will become an official partner in the FLYFokker program and as such will be involved by Fokker Services in supporting start-up operators in the Iberia Peninsula and North African region.
