Atlantic, Cushman & Wakefield To Collab On Vertiports

RE Advisor To Lead Urban Air Mobility Facilities Development

VertiPorts by Atlantic, a wholly owned subsidiary of Atlantic Aviation, a nationwide network of FBO facilities and services, announced the selection of Cushman & Wakefield as its real estate advisor to support the company’s initiative to develop vertiports across strategic U.S. markets.

The push to develop the infrastructure necessary for passenger eVTOL aircraft reflects the commitment of VertiPorts by Atlantic to furthering sustainable, leading-edge transportation solutions. The collaboration aims to develop sites in California, New York, New Jersey, Florida, and additional locations.

The initial focus of the project will be on early-stage identification of potential infill land sites that are essential for supporting vertiports. VertiPorts by Atlantic is looking at such high-density urban markets as the Greater Los Angeles area, the San Francisco Bay area, New York City and its outer boroughs, Long Island, Newark, Broward, and Miami-Dade Counties, Orlando, and Tampa. The company intends to secure initial sites as early as the end of 2025.

Kevin Cox, CEO of VertiPorts by Atlantic said, “Our vision is to reimagine urban connectivity by creating the infrastructure to support passenger eVTOL operations. This initiative represents not only a key investment in sustainable transportation but also an opportunity to provide faster, cleaner and more efficient mobility options in some of the country’s busiest cities.

“We are excited about the transformation this will bring to urban life and proud to lead this evolution working alongside our real estate advisor Cushman & Wakefield, who we are confident will find the innovative solutions we need.”

To help achieve this goal, the collaborative effort between VertiPorts by Atlantic and Cushman & Wakefield, led by their team of Mike Condon Jr., Kent Hindes, and Kylie Rawn, will assist in securing strategic long-term ground leases for vertiport sites.

Mike Condon Jr. said, “VertiPorts by Atlantic’s vision perfectly matches the needs of today’s rapidly evolving transportation landscape. We are proud to support this groundbreaking initiative, which has the potential to redefine urban mobility.

“It also underscores Cushman & Wakefield’s dedication to delivering forward-thinking real estate solutions and fostering a sustainable future. By identifying strategically located sites in some of the nation’s most dynamic cities, we are making bold strides to enhance connectivity and transform mobility for future generations.”
