Has Committed $10,000 Towards A More Equitable And Inclusive Aviation Industry

Women in Corporate Aviation (WCA) is announcing a new donation and corporate partnership with Solairus Aviation.

The partnership will take many forms; spotlighting programs that share mutual values on diversity recruitment & employee retention, career advancement training, and the importance of creating a safe working environment inside and outside of the flight deck. This announcement comes following a challenging year along with a global call for heightened corporate responsibility to look inward at their systems & processes.

The $10,000 corporate donation will be broken into the following categories for distribution:

  • Inventive Student Outreach
  • $2,500 - Solairus Aviation Advanced Flight Training Scholarship honoring Willa Beatrice Brown
  • Technology Tools

“Both of our organization feel a deep sense of responsibility to ensure the current and future landscape of business aviation reflects a more equitable and inclusive workforce.” said Tracie Carwile, Corporate Development Coordinator and Board Director for Women In Corporate Aviation.

“We are thrilled at Solairus to begin a formal relationship with Women in Corporate Aviation in this exciting way and we hope to continue supporting their efforts to diversify business aviation in the years ahead.  There are few causes and initiatives more important for our industry and we all must seek to be part of the solution.” Said Dan Drohan, CEO Solairus Aviation.

Both, Women In Corporate Aviation and Solairus Aviation are dedicated to mentoring and supporting current professionals in the industry and welcoming the next generation as they forge their own path. Together, the two organizations will be prioritizing the removal of identified and perceived barriers to success in 2021.
