The U.S. Marine Corps accepted the last of the VH-92A presidential helicopters built by Sikorsky in a recent ceremony in the company’s Owego, New York, modification facility. Helicopters built by Sikorsky have flown every U.S. president since 1957. It is a modified version of the company’s commercial S-92 helicopter. Fisheries and Oceans Canada’s Whale Protection Unit completed an investigation on River Road Films’ drone operations resulting in a $30,000 fine for the company and their drone operator for not maintaining proper distance from Northern Resident Killer Whales. Heat Takes Toll On Pikes Peak Air Show Guests

Ten Hospitalized, Nearly 100 Treated For Dehydration

It was a beautiful day for the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Team’s first ever air show performance at the Pikes Peak Regional Air Show at Colorado Springs Airport (KCOS) in Colorado. However, some guests either lost track of or disregarded admonitions from show organizers to stay hydrated as air temperatures hovered in the low-mid 90s F for most of the day. And down on the ramp it was probably over 100o F in the afternoon. Close to 100 people were treated by emergency personnel and 10 had to be transported to a nearby hospital for illness related to the heat.

Hold-In-Lieu Of Procedure Turn A hold-in-lieu of procedure turn shall be established over a final or intermediate fix when an approach can be made from a properly aligned holding pattern.
