Nordic Aviation Orders Four E190 Jets

Increases NAC-Managed E-Jet Fleet To 73 Airplanes

Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) has placed a firm order for four Embraer E190 aircraft, the planemaker announced at the Farnborough Airshow. The four new E190s were included in Embraer’s 2016 second-quarter backlog and have an estimated value of $199 million, based on Embraer’s list prices. These new aircraft will join the other 69 E-Jets currently managed by NAC worldwide.

Tenth Low-Rate Initial Production Contract Valued At $1.5 Billion

The U.S. Department of Defense has awarded Pratt & Whitney a $1.5 billion low rate initial production (LRIP) contract for the tenth lot of F135 propulsion systems to power all three variants of the F-35 Lightning II aircraft.
