Embraer and CAE Expand Global E-Jet E2 Training Network

E-Jet Training to Commence at CAE Singapore Facility

In a joint statement set forth at 2023’s Asia Pacific Airline Training Symposium (APATS), Embraer and CAE announced the expansion of the two companies’ long-standing partnership, which includes the training of pilots and cabin-crews operating the Brazilian airframer’s E-Jet E2 family of commercial aircraft.

Embraer-CAE Training Services (ECTS) will launch a new pilot training program and state-of-the-art E-Jet E2 Full-Flight Simulator (FFS) at CAE’s Singapore Flight Training Centre, at which training events are scheduled to commence in December 2023. To better support ongoing deliveries of Embraer E-Jet family aircraft, E2 pilot and cabin-crew training programs will be expanded, gradually, to strategic locations within CAE’s global network.

Embraer president of service & support Johann Bordais stated: “We are delighted to build on our offering and introduce the E2 pilot training program to support the growing number of APAC operators embracing the latest generation of platforms. We are more than ever committed to providing high-quality training programs available in locations close to our E-Jets E2s’ operators.”

CAE vice-president of commercial aviation training Michel Azar-Hmouda remarked: “Adding the E-Jets E2 platform to our existing joint-venture is a natural next step in the partnership CAE and Embraer have built over the last 16-years. Launching the new program in Singapore brings E2 training closer to our APAC customers and ensures their pilots are ready to take flight as E2 jets join their fleets.”

Singapore’s selection as the inchoate expansion’s first location was predicated upon the growing number of E-Jet E2 family aircraft being delivered to the Asia Pacific region. The establishment of the location’s full flight simulator and pilot training program enhances Embraer’s value proposition in the APAC region.

ECTS’ training solutions are a core component of the Embraer Services & Support platform, which assembles the entirety of the company’s portfolio of products and solutions to deliver the best services and support experience. Embraer’s Service & Support platform leverages after-sales business for purpose of intensifying the company’s presence and enhancing day-to-day customer support. The E2 training program will feature CAE 7000XR Series full-flight simulators, including the innovative CAE Tropos 6000XR visual system, as well as CAE XR Series’ flight training devices (FTDs).

Founded in 1947, CAE Inc., formerly Canadian Aviation Electronics, is a Canadian manufacturer of simulation and modeling technologies and training services to airlines, aircraft manufacturers, healthcare specialists, and defense sector customers. The company operates a global network of manufacturing and training facilities and boasts annual revenues of $2.7-billion.

Founded in 1969 and headquartered in São Paulo, Brazil, Embraer S.A. is a multinational aerospace manufacturer of commercial, military, executive, and agricultural aircraft. The company is the world’s leading manufacturer of commercial jets with revenue-passenger capacities of 150-or-fewer seats. Embraer maintains industrial units, offices, service and parts distribution centers across the Americas, Africa, Asia, and Europe. Over a span of 54-years, Embraer has delivered upwards of eight-thousand aircraft. Globally, in 2023, an Embraer-built aircraft takes off approximately every ten-seconds.
