Gulfstream Grows Mesa-Gateway Hangar Space at Service Center

Improved Customer Support on the Way at Phoenix, Arizona Location

Gulfstream Aerospace announced the addition of new hangar space alongside their Customer Support’s all-new Mesa, Arizona service center as it continues towards completion next year.

The move follows a series of expansion announcements at locations throughout the country, showing the company’s faith in the outlook of business aviation and its next-gen offerings in particular. The new hangars are located at the SkyBridge development at the airport and add to previously purchased hangar space at the airport dating back to March 2022. Gulfstream Customer Support announced the Mesa facility in November of 2021 and broke ground for 225,000 sq ft of service center space to provide maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) capabilities in the Western United States.

“Since we announced the new Mesa facility last November, the response has been outstanding,” said Derek Zimmerman, president, Gulfstream Customer Support. “The addition of this new hangar space doubles our current capacity and is part of our commitment to enhancing convenience for our customers. This expansion also allows us to continue to develop our workforce in Mesa and hire more technicians who will be well-known to customers when the new facility opens next year.”

That addition brings the Gulfstream footprint to 112,480 sq ft to be used for routine inspections and maintenance for Gulfstream in-service aircraft as well as aircraft on ground (AOG) support for immediate customer needs. Coinciding with the growth, the company expects to create more than 200 jobs in the area once the facility is opened to service site-wide.
