‘Drone Warrior’ Brett Velicovich Joins WhiteFox As Strategic Advisor

Will Assist In Further Increasing Customer Traction And Market Awareness For Its Counter-Drone Solutions

Drone airspace security startup WhiteFox, has appointed Brett Velicovich, a world-renowned drone expert, as Strategic Advisor. He joins a growing team of top industry experts at the company including Dr. Zachary Peterson, an expert on cybersecurity, Dr. Ryan Jenkins, autonomous vehicle and weapons ethicist, and Leonard Ligon, Subject Matter Expert for the drone industry and U.S. Department of Defense.

As Strategic Advisor, Velicovich will leverage his extensive experience in drone technology to assist WhiteFox in further increasing customer traction and market awareness for its counter-drone solutions.

“We are thrilled to have Brett on board,” said Luke Fox, Founder and CEO of WhiteFox. “Brett’s background as an intelligence specialist for the U.S. Army, coupled with his deep understanding of the counter-drone technology sector, makes him a valuable asset and addition to the team.”

“There is a pressing need for the technology that WhiteFox has developed, not only to secure our airspace against drone threats, but to enable the safe integration of drones into society,” said Velicovich.“Unmanned aircraft systems have the potential to benefit communities in a multitude of ways and I’m excited to join WhiteFox’s mission to ensure this happens.”

WhiteFox has quickly established itself as a leader in drone defense and airspace security. Launched in 2015, the business has attracted strong interest and validation from many Fortune 500 and U.S. government customers. The core WhiteFox technology offers critical infrastructure and public safety the ability to protect against reckless drone use, while enabling “friendly” drones to fly freely and continue the work they’re doing to positively impact society.

In September 2018, the company participated in the prestigious invite-only Black Dart event, the largest Counter UAS exercise in the world, to have their technology strenuously tested. The company has also received wide industry recognition for its innovative products, recently winning first place in the world for ‘Counter UAS and Security’ by the Association for Unmanned Vehicles Systems International (AUVSI) at the Xponential Awards in May 2018.
