Bernie Sanders’ Astonishing Oligarch-Fighting Carbon Footprint Disclosed

“No Apologies” For Actions Belie The Scolding From Climate Zealots

The energy watchdog group, Power the Future, has compiled an estimate of the amount of carbon dioxide emitted by the chartered private jet used by Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez during their recent 16-stop “Fighting Oligarchy” tour, and the numbers are breathtaking.

Power the Future reported in a press release that a total of 62.15 metric tons of CO2 were emitted by the charter aircraft used. The charter carrier was not mentioned but a report said that the aircraft was a Bombardier Challenger although that is unconfirmed.

For comparison, the group said, those emissions are equivalent to burning 62,600 pounds of coal, driving a gas-powered SUV 150,000 miles, powering every home in Sanders’ hometown of Burlington, Vermont for weeks, or powering nine average U.S. homes for an entire year.

In a very public interview with Brett Baier, Sanders explained that “you run a campaign, and you do three or four or five rallies in a week, the only way you can go around to talk to 30,000 people,” is by private jet.

Sanders went on, saying, “You think I’m going to be sitting on a waiting line at United while, what, 30,000 people are waiting around?. It’s the only way you can get around. No apologies for that.”

Translation: The “Man of the People” is not really about the people. Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez should not have to stand in line, endure delays, and mingle with the actual people they purport to represent.

It’s obvious they are part of the fake socialist ‘power elite’ who get to have special exemptions to the policies they seek to impose on everyone else.
