Cirrus Design: Moss-Vale 2002 Supplier of the Year

Program Acknowledges Quality Conscious Vendors

The ramp-up to two aircraft per business day at Cirrus was quite a production in and of itself. The aches and pains of growth reached beyond the walls of the company's facilities in Duluth and Grand Forks ND, into the laps of the many suppliers that provide product for the popular SR20 and SR22

Moss Vale, Inc., Sharonville OH, supplier of hydraulic and fuel lines, won the Supplier of the Year Award for 2002. Timothy J. Morris, President of Moss Vale visited Cirrus in January to accept the award. "Moss Vale has been a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved PMA manufacturer since the mid nineties and we understand Cirrus' obligation to FAA standards. But it goes beyond that. Quality means protecting the lives of those who use our product. That's why we have to be a team to improve quality. We can't achieve it independently." According to Morris.

Dale Klapmeier, Executive Vice President and Cofounder of Cirrus stated, "Cirrus is fortunate to have companies like Moss Vale, who are interested in putting the best quality product into the market place, in a timely manner, at a competitive price. Congratulations to Moss Vale and thank you for your contributions toward Cirrus' success.

Cirrus instituted the award in 2002.  This program, awarded quarterly, recognizes those suppliers who most effectively implement quality initiatives, focus on time delivery performance, initiate continuous process improvement and maintain competitive costs. Northstar Aerospace, Duluth MN; Brigham Upholstery, Hermantown MN; Moss Vale, Sharonville OH, and GE Supply Logistics, Irving TX, were named as quarterly recipients.

Moss Vale is located in Sharonville, OH. An 8,000 square foot shop is equipped with computer controled tube bending capabilities, laser inspection equipment, associated deburr, cutting, flaring, presetting, testing and end forming machinery.
