Delta's Song Debuts on Tax Day

New Airline, Same 'Delta-Style' CAPPS II Research for TSA

Delta's new airline, Song, will make its first passenger flight from New York City's JFK Airport to West Palm Beach next Tuesday, April 15. That may be ironically appropriate, as that's tax filing day in the USA, and low-fare airlines may be the only affordable ones. (Song's one-way fares range from $79 to $299.)

Song will now be the "second" airline (Delta is the first) to cooperate with the TSA, in its more-intrusive intelligence-gathering activities on passengers, called CAPPS II, we're told by several sources. Their PR folks didn't get back to us, to confirm or deny.
