Here’s some really good news for those that appreciate rare airplanes that made their mark on history. 

A rare de Havilland Mosquito fighter/bomber, the legendary Royal Air Force aircraft from World War Two, will help commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain at EAA AirVenture This year. The aircraft, operated by the Military Aviation Museum of Virginia Beach, Virginia is expected to arrive on AirVenture’s opening day, and be on display throughout the week. Representative Bill Shuster, chair of the House Transportation Committee, told the Aero Club of Washington that he plans to introduce a bill in Congress to privatize the nation's Air Traffic Control system. In his speech Monday, Shuster said that leaving the government in charge of ATC is "the surest road to failure." Steven Metheny, the former vice president of Carson Helicopter, was sentenced last week to 12 ½ years in federal prison after his convictions for conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud and the making of false statements in defrauding the U.S. Forest Service. Levi Phillips, was also sentenced to serve 25 month in a federal prison for his role in the conspiracy. All this... and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!
