F-15 Eagle Comes Home to New England Air Museum

Eagle Taxis Into its New Nest On August 1st

The New England Air Museum has just taken delivery of an F-15C Eagle for permanent display, with plans to show off their new fighter in the main exhibit hall. The Museum is already hard at work planning events to commemorate the addition of the Eagle into their collection of 100+ aircraft, giving local attendees and community members some chances to see one up close in person. The C model handed over to the Museum just finished its demilitarization at the 103rd Airlift Wing at Bradley International Airport, and it's now ready for showtime.

Kelly Ortberg New President and CEO at Boeing

Industry Veteran Brings 35 Years Aerospace Experience

The Board of Directors of Boeing announced it has elected Robert K. “Kelly” Ortberg as the new President and CEO of the company. He will also serve on Boeing’s Board of Directors as well. Ortberg follows Dave Calhoun, who announced his retirement earlier this year after serving as president and CEO since 2020 and on the Board of Directors since 2009.

Airplane Entered A Flat Spin Maneuver. After Multiple Revolutions, The Airplane Entered A Nose Low Dive, And Impacted The Water

On July 4, 2024, about 1725 mountain daylight time, a Game Composites LLC GB1 Gamebird, N786AE, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Irwin, Idaho. The pilot was fatally injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. According to the pilot of another airplane, he and the accident pilot were practicing an aerobatic formation flight for a future airshow within an aerobatic practice area just west of Alpine Airport (46U), Alpine, Wyoming.

The mountain is divided into two geographic areas, north and south. The dividing line is delineated from the east by the south side of the Eldridge Glacier, up to the main ridge of the Alaska Range, which extends up to the summit of Denali and westward to the summits of Mount Foraker and Mount Russell. There are two CTAFs used on the mountain. The south side traffic should monitor and report on 123.65, and the north side on 122.725.
