Piper Aircraft has introduced its newest top-of-the-line M-Class single-engine Meridian M500 turbine business aircraft with the latest in Garmin avionics, enhanced safety features and a number of other significant product improvements. The route has been set for the Solar Impulse 2, referred to as the Si2, attempt to circumnavigate the globe in a solar-powered airplane. Ikhana Aircraft Services (Ikhana) announced that the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has validated Ikhana’s RWMI DHC-6-200HG modification. The RWMI DHC-6-200HG is now an FAA, Transport Canada, and EASA approved Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) allowing aircraft operations to 12,500 pounds.
