Aircell System STC Sought For 5 Different Business Aircraft

Constant Aviation at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport said Monday that they have begun the STC process to allow them to install the Aircell High Speed Internet System on five aircraft types. The completion of these STC’s will provide Embraer Legacy, Gulfstream IV, Citation X, Beechjet, and Piaggio Avanti aircraft with the highly desired Internet System.

Together the Aircell Axxess cabin communications system and ATG 4000 High Speed Internet unit provide worldwide Iridium voice telephone service and broadband data in the continental United States. It is comparable to a standard broad band, yet it is small and light enough to fit on virtually any business aircraft. The ATG 4000 High Speed Internet unit for business aviation weighs just 11 pounds and its two belly-mounted antennae weigh just 1.25 pounds each. This new system is in high demand from business aviation operators and aircraft owners.
