InterDrone Forms Industry Advisory Board

Former FAA Administrator Michael Huerta Joins The Panel

Emerald Expositions, owner and organizer of InterDrone, has created a new Industry Advisory Board. The board consists of 19 members from industry-leading companies to analysts, and former FAA employees and administrators, including Michael Huerta.

The board will assist conference organizers with program development and speaker selection to ensure the most comprehensive schedule of commercial drone training during this year’s conference. Registration is now open for InterDrone 2018, which will be held at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas from September 5-7, 2018. “InterDrone’s Industry Advisory Board features some of the most respected and esteemed members of the commercial drone industry and their knowledge, guidance, and expertise will be an invaluable asset as we develop programming for this year’s conference,” said Ted Bahr, chairman of InterDrone.

“Unmanned aircraft systems represent one of the most innovative and fastest growing segments in aviation and aerospace,” explains Michael Huerta, advisory board member, former FAA administrator, and senior advisor to Macquarie Holdings (USA), Inc.“Every day new possibilities present themselves and the future is very bright. The industry needs to continue to work with policy makers to foster innovation while at the same time ensuring safety and security,” he said.

Other InterDrone Advisory Board members include Marke “Hoot” Gibson, former Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) senior adviser on unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) and current CEO of NUAIR Alliance, Jim Williams, former manager of the FAA’s UAS Integration Office and founder of JHW Unmanned Solutions, and Art Pregler, UAS Program Director at AT&T.
