Unused Simulator Time Near Charles De Gaulle Airport Brings 777, 787, A330, A350 to Airlines
Simaero and Air France have signed a long-term, exclusive partnership to provide the training firm's unused training slots on the open market.

Under the deal, Simaero will sell open time on the 10 Air France simulators near Charles de Gaulle Airport to 3rd party clients. The sim slots will be sold for both dry leasing use or ATO training. Air France’s fleet of Full Flight Simulators covers the a fairly wide variety of types for an air carrier: 4 Boeing 777 and a 787 FFS represent the American brand, while 2 Airbus A320 and A350 sims are joined by a single A330 sim to cover the European side. That fleet of high-end simulators will allow Simaero to cater to a much wider variety of customers from around the world, particularly when combined with the company's in-house FFS lineup.
All Air France FFS are already covered by Simaero ATO certificates. Under Simaero, the simulators may be used for license renewals, revalidations, and training courses all the way to full-type ratings thanks to its existing EASA approval. Simaero's Paris, France training centers remain open for business 24/7, and stay close enough together that current accommodations and transportation remain effective for either one.
“We are very glad to be selected by Air France for this special cooperation,” said Nicolas Mouté, CEO of Simaero. "Thanks to our dynamic and outstanding commercial team, Simaero will help find training solutions in Air France premises for many worldwide clients. This is a perfect example of an excellent synergistic deal beneficial to all concerned Parties: Air France, Simaero, and, most importantly, our customers."
Pascal Moreuil, Deputy Director of Operational Training in Air France, said the partnership would add tremendous value for airlines looking to train in top-flight equipment. “We have been cooperating with Simaero for simulator training for many years and we directly experienced Simaero’s commitment to providing extensive training solutions to a very large range of clients worldwide. We enter this Partnership with the confidence that the joint efforts will bring attractive value-adding training solutions to airlines across the world."
