Carlisle IT Offers new 10Gbps Ethernet Connector

High-Speed Aviation Connectors, Cables, Sold Under Octax Product Line

Carlisle Interconnect Technologies is set to release its new Octax 10 Gbps single-port ethernet connector for commercial aviation applications at the AEA 2022 show.

Cables are not necessarily high up on the list of cool, "must-have" aeronautical accessories when creating an avionics shopping list, but they play a valuable role in drawing everything together and ensuring consistent, reliable data transmission throughout the aircraft. The new Octax cables are guaranteed to handle altitudes encountered during flights up to 50,000 feet, specifically designed to function in rugged environments. The cable contains a nickel-plated aluminum shell and is full field- terminable. Additionally, the system contains a durable, reusable sheath, with standard M39029 crimping contacts, and a toolless EMI banding system. CarlisleIT can provide the necessary reports and documentation required for particular recordkeeping, compliance and airworthiness operations. The release is only the start, with additional products on the way to be announced at the AEA.

“With commercial aviation being one of our biggest focuses right now, we wanted to give our customers the option to use this reliable, cost-effective and easy-to-work-with solution for that application,” said Jordan Tarter, CarlisleIT business development manager for airframe & engine OEMs,  aerospace systems. “We're excited to be presenting our latest innovation in this session where all the best new products will be announced. We hope to garner some anticipation for what’s coming to the market this year and solidify our standing as an industry leader.”
