Oh. Deer.

The Buck Stops Here.

The intruder walked onto the runway brazenly, as if it cared nothing for the aircraft that might be landing at the airport in Watertown, NY. But when a US Airways Express commuter aircraft approached, the intruder apparently stopped cold like a deer in the headlights (well, landing lights, but we're going for a certain effect here).

That's because the intruder was a deer.

"We were landing and didn't even know anything had happened, heard a little bit of a thud and really didn't know what that was. They got the plane stopped and the pilot came out to let us know that we hit a deer on the runway." said Jamie Zehr a passenger on the plane, quoted by News 10 in Syracuse, NY.

No one was hurt in the mishap (the deer being the sole exception). The aircraft suffered damage to its left propeller and had to be towed to a hangar. There, it was to be evaluated on Tuesday.
