Lockwood Rotax Forums Scheduled For Oshkosh

Three Sessions Planned During Week Of AirVenture

Operators of Rotax engines regularly flock to sessions hosted by Rotax expert Phil Lockwood, and there are three of the popular forums scheduled for the week of AirVenture at Wittman Regional Airport this summer.

Lockwood (pictured) is recognized as one of the nation's leading authorities on the popular engines that power a large number of LSA, kit-built, and other light aircraft, and the Sebring, FL-based owner of Lockwood Aviation Supply and Lockwood Aircraft Repair has become something of a staple at airshows, including AirVenture.

During AirVenture this year, Lockwood plans three forums for Rotax operators. A four-stroke 912 forum on Wednesday, July 31st at 8:30 AM in Pavilion 09; a second  four-stroke 912 forum on Friday, August 2nd at 1:00pm in the Ultralight forum tent; and a two-stroke forum on Friday, August 2nd at 8:30 am in the Ultralight forum tent.

“In the 912 forum I'll cover the most common areas of interest like fuels, oils, the latest installation and operating tips," Lockwood said. "I'll also give the most up to date info on the new Fuel injected 912iS and explain the latest fuel pump service bulletin SB 912-063.”

Since 1973 Rotax says it has delivered more than 125,000 aircraft engines - including more than 46,000 9-series engines - and the company can produce more than 200,000 powerplants annually. Throughout its history, Rotax says it has delivered more than three million engines of all types.
