Being Imported From Australia By US Sport Planes
US Sport Planes, the North American importer for the Jabiru line of Aircraft from Australia announced at DeLand Sport Aviation Showcase that it is now importing Jabiru 4 seat aircraft kits.

The Jabiru J430 aircraft have been developed as touring aircraft with a wide cockpit, high cabin and ample leg room, and three human sized doors. The J430 is intended as a great alternative to GA aircraft such as the Cessna 172. The Jabiru J430 cruises at 120 knots on 6-7.5 GPH.
The Jabiru Airframe kits are manufactured using Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) technologies. It is a system which offers high structural integrity and a clean aerodynamic design at a low weight.
The kits come complete with everything to complete the airframe including the motor mount, engine cowl, wheel pants, instrument panel box and face, brakes, wheels, tires. The balance of equipment to complete the aircraft are engine, prop, paint or vinyl graphics, upholstery, avionics and headsets. The kit build time is typically 600 hours from start to finish. Everything has been thought of right down to resin mixing cups, mixing sticks, applicators and brushes.
The Finish:
- The Jabiru components all come in white gelcoat or primed finish thus reducing completion times and frustration.
The Fuselage and components:
- The fuselage is provided with the top and bottom halves already joined for you. Gel Coated Control surfaces are closed and ready for installation. Most of the home builder’s work involves fitting out the aircraft with components and hardware supplied. All locating points are identified by factory drilled holes, and hard points are factory installed.
The Manual:
- Detailed constructor’s manual which is downloaded sets out the step-by-step procedures, checklists, engineering drawings and includes more than 100 photographs.
Engine:
- The J430 is designed for the Jabiru 6 cylinder, 120 HP Jabiru engine.
The 4 Place J430D Kit Empty Weight is 825 lbs. Useful Load: 850 lbs; Gross Weight: 1675 lbs.
The kit price is listed at $63,950 without engine or avionics. The estimated aircraft total cost for a completed airplane is $100,000 - $125,000 (or more) depending on options.
