Leasing Company Continues Expansion

BOC Aviation of Singapore announced a major order of narrowbody aircraft as it continues the expansion of its operations. Boeing and Airbus stand to benefit from the order for 70 new Airbus A320neo and 50 new Boeing 737 MAX-8 twinjets.

The orders include rights to convert to other variants of the narrowbodies from each company, and the aircraft will bolster the leasing company’s short-haul fleet that BOC will provide to existing clients as well as new customers.

The Boeing order allows for conversion of the 737 MAX-8 to the larger MAX-9 and MAX-10 with the aircraft scheduled for delivery through to 2031. BOC currently operates 215 of the 737 MAX family aircraft in its portfolio consisting of MAX-8s and the higher capacity MAX-9.

The Airbus order is scheduled for delivery through to 2032 and are able to be converted from the A320neo to other variants in the same family, including the sub-types of the larger A321.
