400XT Completes 1875 Nautical Mile Flight

Successful Reposition To Mojave Done Non-Stop

The first long-range certification flight for the Nextant Aerospace 400XT saw the plane fly from Cleveland, OH (KCGF) to Mojave, CA (KMHV) late last week. The flight spanned more than 1875 nautical miles over 4 hours and 44 minutes at an average ground speed of 400Kts. The aircraft landed in Mojave with more than 1 hour and 15 minutes fuel remaining.

“The flight took off just under MGTOW at 16,000lbs and climbed directly to 43,000 feet. With the data collected on this flight we are extremely happy with how the aircraft is performing in comparison to our expectations. The majority of 400XT STC certification flight tests will be conducted out of Flight Test Associate’s facility in Mojave,” said James Miller, President of Nextant Aerospace.

Nextant Aerospace says the 400XT significantly improves the Hawker Beechjet 400A/XP by extending its range more than 50% to over 2,000 nautical miles (4 PAX NBAA IFR) while reducing operating costs by 30%. The 400XT is equipped with a Pro Line 21 upgrade that seamlessly manages the Williams FJ44-3AP Full Authority Digital Engine control (FADEC) and enables future NEXTGEN avionics equipage requirements.
