Dr. Don Marinelli Confirmed For Redbird Migration

Will Address The Role Of Gaming Technology In Experimental Flight Training

One of the more memorable speakers on stage last year at the Redbird Migration has confirmed his participation for the 2014 edition set for October 28-29.

Dr. Don Marinelli will address the role and the issues of training flight instructors for maximum effectiveness in learning environments where interactive (gaming) technology is applied to experiential flight training, according to Redbird founder and CEO Jerry Gregoire.

Dr. Marinelli is an internationally renowned expert in digital and interactive media as applied to experiential training. His presentation last year was an exploration of what he calls the “21st Century Digital Natives”, this newest generation of student pilots.

Dr. Marinelli is the Chief Creative Advisor to Etcetera Edutainment. Until his retirement in 2012, he was the Executive Producer and co-founder (along with the late Dr. Randy Pausch) of Carnegie Mellon University's Entertainment Technology Center, a global master's program for entertainment and educational technology research and development. Don has received international recognition for transforming the perception of how students are educated. He is a frequent lecturer around the world on the growing impact of new entertainment and educational technologies on global culture.
