Genesys Obtains Certification for Hindustan-228 Flight Deck Upgrade

Genesys Avionics Suite Provides Comprehensive Update to Cockpit Avionics

Genesys Aerosystems has completed certification of the Genesys Avionics Suite upgrade for the Hindustan-228.

The 19-seat commuter plane is a high-wing, tricycle geared, multi use aircraft throughout the East, used as a utility, transport, taxi, cargo, and surveillance craft abroad. The addition of a Genesys flight deck upgrade provides next-gen synthetic vision, autopilot, and situational awareness with a comprehensive, modernizing upgrade.

With the full range of TAWS, EICAS, ADAHRS, FMS, and HITS (Highway-In-The-Sky flight symbology) seen in modern production aircraft. The full suite means that legacy Hindustan 228s have an easy, self-contained pathway to bring them into the 21st century, with all the necessary interfaces and sensors needed included in the Suite.

“We are proud to partner with HAL to complete the Hindustan-228 aircraft certification for increased aircraft operational capabilities”, said Nick Bogner, Business Unit Director for Genesys Aerosystems. Last year, Genesys expanded the Hindustan's capabilities with the addition of an S-TEC 4000R system, setting the stage for today's more comprehensive, encompassing upgrade.
