AeroSports Update: Homebuilding Ambassadors Sought For One Week Wonder Project

The One Week Wonder Project Is About More Than The Physical Building Of An Airplane; It’s Also About The Challenges And Personal Rewards Of The Process

Are you passionate about the many benefits of building an airplane? Do you have a desire to evangelize for the homebuilt movement? If so, EAA is seeking your help. As part of the One Week Wonder project at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2014, they are looking for “homebuilding ambassadors”…volunteers who are willing to talk to people and answer questions about the project.

Homebuilding ambassadors are ideally active builders or those who have finished a homebuilt aircraft. They’re looking for people who are welcoming, enthusiastic, and who can help others along the journey from, “That is a crazy idea,” to “I can do this!”

If you are outgoing and positive about homebuilding and the future of aviation, we encourage you to volunteer. This is one of the best opportunities we have to convince potentially thousands of people that homebuilding is right for them.

If you would like to volunteer to be a homebuilding ambassador, e-mail Charlie Becker, the EAA director of communities and homebuilt community manager, and include: your name, EAA number, what you have built or are building, and why you want to be a part of this project.

Volunteering is a great way to get more involved with AirVenture, make new friends, and have fun. The One Week Wonder project will be a great volunteer opportunity.

This is a great opportunity to talk with people who actually want to hear what you have to say! It’s a homebuilders dream come true.
