Diamond Aircraft announced the delivery of the fifth DA62 MPP, or Multi-Purpose Platform, to 2Excel Aviation, making the UK-based company the world’s largest operator of the aircraft and strengthening the partnership between the two companies.

2Excel Aviation utilizes the DA62 MPP for a wide range of missions including maritime surveillance, environmental monitoring, and ISR, or intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance operations.

The DA62 MPP is Diamond’s flagship surveillance aircraft, equipped with state-of-the-art sensors and mission-management systems. It is powered by two efficient Jet-A1 burning piston engines and comes with low operating costs that meet the needs of demanding mission profiles, attractive to customers worldwide.

Arnie Palmer, Director of Special Missions at 2Excel Aviation said, “Receiving our fifth DA62 MPP is a major step forward. As the largest fleet operator of this outstanding aircraft, we are uniquely positioned to offer our clients advanced airborne capabilities with a lower environmental footprint and high operational flexibility. Our collaboration with Diamond Aircraft has been crucial to our success.”

Their growing fleet of DA62 MPPs is a testament to the platform’s outstanding versatility, efficiency, and reliability. We’re proud to support 2Excel in delivering innovative and mission-critical capabilities across a wide range of operational environments.”

This delivery signifies a new chapter in the operational deployment of the DA62 MPP as its role grows in the aerial surveillance and special missions market.
