WOA To Showcase Historic Aircraft At AirVenture 2025

More Than 300 Warbirds From All Eras Expected In Impressive Lineup

The EAA Warbirds of America area will be a major draw on the grounds of the AirVenture Oshkosh 2025 this year, with an amazing lineup of military aircraft and other attractions for all ages. Over 300 warbirds are anticipated to be at the show, with many if not most from the World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War eras.

The transition years of innovation and technology during the Korean War will be the centerpiece, as a number of aircraft will be showcasing the transition from piston-powered aircraft to fighter jets.

Several aircraft will be celebrating noteworthy anniversaries: the 85th for the Corsair, the 80th anniversary of the A-1 Skyraider, and the 75th anniversary of the MiG-17.

All true warbird afficionados will not want to miss the dedication of the Clarence  E. “Bud” Anderson Memorial Garden and Warbirds Museum. The dedication ceremony will take place on Tuesday July 22, at 2 pm.

The next day, Wednesday July 23, the afternoon air show will pay tribute to the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II with a parade and run-up featuring several aircraft from that era.

The Warbirds in Review, a series of twice-daily presentations at the Warbirds in Review aircraft ramp with a jam-packed schedule of displays of iconic aircraft like the P-51 Mustang, P-38 Lightning, and Me262 replica. Aircraft owners, pilots, veterans, and aviation legends  will accompany the aircraft and add personality through stories and experiences for the public to gain a better understanding of the history and importance of the aircraft and the war.

Kids can experience flight in iconic warbirds in one of the five Redbird flight simulators at the Warbirds Youth Education Center. The Center will be open daily from 9 am to 3 pm and admission is free.

The complete AirVenture schedule of events, including the twice-daily lineup at Warbirds in Review, is available to check out on the EAA website.
