Parrot Adds Training for ANAFI UAVs and Drones

Certified, Specialized Programs for Professional Operators

European drone group Parrot has announced their new Certified Training Program, an education system for professionals to learn everything necessary to safely, reliably, and consistently operate their UAV systems.

As drone usage expands throughout every industry, accidents- or, hard-won “training incidents”- can be expensive and wasteful, with damage or injury halting work. Like any other industrial certification that provides its students a solid, dependable base of knowledge, the Parrot program aims to give operators and owners a turnkey, simple, and consistent knowledge base for professional use. Parrot’s ANAFI USA and ANAFI Ai UAV systems are the newest beneficiaries of this training program, now available alongside industry competitors DJI and Autel.

The Parrot Certified Training Program is designed to make users of Anafi drones into professional pilots quickly and efficiently, with a system-specific regimen consisting of both ground and flight certifications. With training in the essentials of the National Airspace System, upkeep, and vital flight skills, the program prepares the pilot for the flight portion of their training to receive their Parrot Professional Pilot Certificate.

Once the user has completed their ground school, they can work with Parrot Certified Training Partners to put the finishing touches on their in-flight skills and know-how. Joining with Skyfire, the Unmanned Safety Institute, and Rocky Mountain Unmanned Solutions, Parrot is able to provide hands-on, custom-tailored flight training to each student and their drone platform, with more industry partners to come. Some partners may have professional emphasis areas that coincide with student needs, should they desire particular expertise. Skyfire, for example, touts its knowledge in thermal imaging, search and rescue, scene reconstruction, and tactical SWAT operations with the Anafi platform.

Courses are available for numerous makes and models, as well as virtual and on-demand training.
