Hartzell Adds Northwest Propeller To Its Recommended Service Facilities Network

Brings The Number Of Approved Prop Shops To 21

Hartzell has selected Northwest Propeller of Puyallup, Washington, to join its network of Recommended Service Facilities (RSF). Northwest Propeller was founded in 1985 and is located at the Pierce Country Airport at Thun Field in Washington State.

Northwest brings to 21 the number of Hartzell RSFs situated in strategic locations around the world. Hartzell maintains a high standard throughout its entire network, and to achieve its RSF status requires a strict certification process, as well as ongoing training and evaluation.

Hartzell's senior vice-president of marketing and customer services, Mike Disbrow said, "We selected Northwest Propeller because of its continued focus on quality and customer service, which is a prerequisite for any Hartzell repair facility. Northwest is also well located to act as our representative to customers in the Pacific north-west region."

Northwest Propeller president Dick Jacob said, "We are honored to become part of Hartzell's network of RSFs. We've worked hard to achieve and adhere to Hartzell's standards and we have begun providing service and repairs as an RSF at our facility in Puyallup."

Disbrow added that to become an RSF for Hartzell requires a rigorous periodic audit process to ensure each facility maintains quality systems, parts inventory, tooling and staff training.

He said, "The propeller system is one of the most vital yet highly stressed components of an aircraft, so we make our evaluation process extremely rigorous, and we require ongoing factory training for all RSFs. Our focus on superior standards reflects Hartzell's continuing aim to improve performance, durability and flight safety."

Northwest Propeller Inc. was established in 1985 and for 10 years was located in Auburn, Washington, before relocating to Puyallup. Northwest's technicians perform repairs, maintenance and overhaul on a wide variety of propellers, hubs and governors installed on the world's fleet.
