Revue Thommen AD32 Chosen For Czech Aircraft Programs

ADDU Part Of Several Upgrades

Revue Thommen AG announced this week the selection and installation of its AD32 Air Data Display Unit (ADDU) for the upgrading of a fleet of six An-26 aircraft operated in Poland.

The upgrade program was completed by Aviation Service, Prague, in late 2007. This fleet upgrade followed the installation of the AD32 in an Antonov An-26 operated by the Slovakian Air Force, which was the initial installation in an upgrade program that will be extended into 2008.

In a related development, the Czech Air Force has also selected the AD32 for the LET L410 avionics upgrade program. The first aircraft in this program should be completed in the second Quarter of 2008, with additional aircraft upgrades being completed throughout the year.

Besides highly accurate altitude information with a maximum scale error of +/- 3m (10ft) below 6096m (FL200), the AD32 significantly improves flight safety. The fully customized DO-178B Level A certified ADDU features an integrated altitude alerter. In the An-26 integration the Thommen ADDU provides air data information to a Honeywell EGPWS and transponder.

Aviation Service a.s. is an important avionics, special systems and engineering company in Central Europe active in the military and commercial aviation market. Besides their headquarters in Prague, Aviation Service a.s. also has operations in Warsaw (Poland) and Ljubljana (Slovenia).

Revue Thommen AG, based in Waldenburg, Switzerland, manufactures aircraft instruments and air data systems used worldwide on a full range of aircraft types from helicopters to corporate aircraft and commercial airliners.

Thommen is ISO 9001:2000, EASA Part 21 and EASA Part 145 certified.
