The Directorate General of Civil Aviation of Indonesia has certified Embraer's Phenom 100 and 300, making Indonesia the first Asia-Pacific country to have the Phenom 300 light jet certified and increases the list of the Phenom 100 certificates to 21 agencies, worldwide.

“The certification of the Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 jets in Indonesia extends the enduring relationship we have with the country, where five Embraer Legacy 600s are in operation,” said José Eduardo Costas, Embraer Vice President, Marketing and Sales, Asia Pacific – Executive Jets. “The  certification reflects our commitment to offer best-in-class products to the Asian market. We are confident that the light jet’s innovative features and track record will make it a compelling proposition for prospects in this region.”

The Phenom jets were launched by Embraer in 2005. The entry level Phenom 100 was certified in December 2008 by the Brazilian Civil Aviation Agency (Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil – ANAC) and the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), paving the way for the first deliveries. European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certification came in 2009. Today, the aircraft is flying in 29 countries. In 2010, 100 Phenom 100s were produced and delivered to customers, making it the most delivered executive jet in the industry.

The Phenom 300 light jet was certified in December 2009, in Brazil and the U.S. In 2010, 26 aircraft were delivered, increasing the jet’s presence, worldwide. Now, it is invited for the first time to operate in Asia Pacific by Indonesia.
