Red Bull Posts Schedule For 2014 Air Race Series

Events To Be Held Worldwide Beginning In Abu Dhabi In March

The schedule has been posted for the Red Bull Air Races for the 2014 season, with events being held from the Middle East to the U.S. and China.

The series will kick off on March 1 in Abu Dhabi, with tickets available November 1.

Other dates on the schedule include (all dates 2014):

  • Putrajaya, Malaysia May 18
  • Gdynia, Poland July 27
  • Ascot, U.K. August 17
  • Texas Motor Speedway in Dallas-Fort Worth, September 7
  • Las Vegas Motor Speedway October 12

A final event is planned for China in November, but an exact venue has not yet been determined.

According to the Red Bull Air Race website, the Red Bull Air Race World Championship features the world’s best race pilots in a pure motor-sport competition that combines speed, precision and skill. Using the fastest, most agile and lightweight racing planes, pilots navigate a low-level aerial track made up of air-filled pylons.

Red Bull says there are several rules and safety changes compared to the last race three years ago.
