Flight Safety Foundation To Host Webinar On Human-Machine Interactions

Cockpit Automation To Be Subject Of Fireside Chat-Style Presentation

The Flight Safety Foundation will host a complimentary webinar on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM EDT.

The title of the webinar will be “Where Human Factors and Autonomy Collide: Challenges and Opportunities in Advanced Aviation.”

Presenting the webinar will be Harrison Wolf, Associate Director of the Advanced Aviation Systems Group at the Flight Safety Foundation, with Featured Guest Carl Pankok, Jr., Human Factors Lead Engineer at Merlin Labs.

The fireside chat-style conversation will focus on the challenges and opportunities that are introduced by increasing automation in aviation and the potential effects on safety. You will hear about the latest progress on automation for the cockpit as well as the research going on in the area of human-machine teaming in aviation.
