Want To Fly Seaplanes?

New DVD Shows You How

The good folks at Sporty's have introduced yet another DVD. So You Want to Fly Seaplanes is Sporty's latest, with great video footage and clear instructions to shed some light on the subject for land based pilots.

"This DVD is a comprehensive learning tool for the addition of a seaplane rating, but will also appeal to those who want to know more about seaplanes," said Sporty's DVD Producer Bret Koebbe.

Filmed at Jack Brown's Seaplane Base in Winter Haven, Florida, Jon Brown and John Rennie teach what flying seaplanes is all about. You'll climb into the back seat of a Piper J-3 Cub on floats for a pilot's eye view of all the maneuvers required for the FAA checkride. Although not a substitute for personal instruction, you'll learn the different taxi techniques, how to read the wind and water and how to handle water takeoffs and landings.

Brown and Rennie give real world tips to help advance your skills and understanding. This DVD also includes interactive extras including a float diagram, wind and water chart and several internet links for additional information.

With more than an hour of in-flight footage and full motion graphics, So You Want to Fly Seaplanes is available for $29.95, a great investment to start your seaplane training off right.
