L-3's ADS-B Solutions Provide More AEA2105 Special Event Info!!!

L-3 Delivers Highly Capable ADS-B Products!

L-3 has delivered flight safety avionics for General Aviation (GA) since 1962, when the business was founded as the avionics division for Learjet in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Since then, the company has operated under several names including Jet Electronics & Technology (J.E.T.), BF Goodrich Aerospace and Goodrich Avionics Systems Inc.

L-3 acquired the Avionics Systems (L-3 AS) division in 2003.

Today the company provides a wide array of avionics technologies designed to improve situational awareness and enhance safety.

L-3 has been a pioneer in the development of collision avoidance, lightning detection, standby systems and most recently, advanced ADS-B technologies for GA. L 3 has brand-name products that are synonymous with quality and longevity. L-3 AS serves all aspects of aviation, with a primary focus on General and Business Aviation.

In 2012, L-3 AS was combined with four other L-3 businesses to form L-3 Aviation Products (L-3 AP). This organic collaboration added several new GA products and technologies to the portfolio, such as Cockpit Voice and Flight Data Recorders (CVR/FDR), ADS-B transponders, TCAS II, Class A TAWS, Cockpit Displays and expanded MRO and service capabilities.

The groundbreaking Lynx® MultiLink Surveillance System is the result of a collaboration of engineering expertise and lean manufacturing processes between several L-3 Aviation Products’ facilities.

L-3 AP has seven facilities in the United States, Canada and France, with a worldwide network of sales and service centers, and a 600+ dealer network.

The company operates multiple GA aircraft that are utilized for sales, flight testing, new product development and product certification.
