United Completes Assimilation Of Continental

CA Took Its Last Flights Saturday

Continental Airlines is officially no more as a separate airline. The last flights under the company's separate computer system took place Saturday.

The Associated Press reports that Continental posted a notice on its website that all flights would be operating as United Airlines as of March 3rd. United tweeted that the last Continental flight was scheduled to land at Houston at 1235 CST Saturday.

nj.com reports that there were only isolated delays and complaints as the changeover occurred. United spokesman Rahsaan Johnson said "the conversion is proceeding according to plan and the system cutover is going well."

There were reportedly no longer any Continental signs to be found at Newark Liberty Airport's terminal C, which resulted in a few questions.

All bookings will now be done through United.com. The last vestige of the old Continental brand is the blue-and-white globe representing the company's old logo next to the United name. Also gone are the airline's "CO" code on tickets.
