AMA Foundation Hosts Raffle To Win A Ride In A P-51 Mustang

Prize Includes Round Trip Tickets To Pomona, CA And Accomodations

The Academy of Model Aeronautics Foundation will host its AMA Foundation for the Future Raffle starting July 1, 2019. The contest ends October 1, 2019. The raffle prize winner will be treated to an exciting trip to AMA Expo West (November 1-3, 2019) and a ride in Lady Alice, a P-51 Mustang.

This year’s winner will receive roundtrip airfare to Pomona, California; a three-day/two-night stay at Sheraton Fairplex Hotel located next to the Fairplex, where Expo is being held; free admission to AMA Expo West; a rental car and a spending stipend; and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to ride in Lady Alice. The AMA Foundation would like to thank Dr. Kendall Wagner for his continued support of the AMA and its foundation through donating the airplane ride and his time. The foundation, led by its board of directors, also thanks VQ Warbirds for its donation of a model VQ P-51D Lady Alice EP/GP.

Raffle tickets can be purchased at modelaircraft.org/raffle. Tickets are $1 each, 30 for $25, 75 for $50, or 200 for $100.

There are several ways listed on the website that can help you earn extra entries. The goal of the raffle is to raise $50,000 for AMA programs supported by the AMA Foundation.

The AMA Foundation is committed to providing resources for the next generation of aviators through scholarships, club and flying site support grants, AMA Flight School and e-learning opportunities, and the preservation of more than 11,000 artifacts in the National Model Aviation Museum, located in Muncie, IN.
