Ka-Band System Available As Retrofit Or Line-Install For Global Connectivity

Dassault Aviation announced it signed an agreement with Honeywell to install its JetWave X on Falcon business jets to provide high-speed in-flight internet connectivity for uninterrupted global coverage. The system is expected to enter the market in 2026 and will be available as a retrofit option for in-service aircraft or a factory installation option on new jets.

JetWave X connects to Viasat’s Ka-band network including Viasat-3 and Global Express satellites and it is designed to be forward-compatible with future Ka-band networks. This will permit operators to switch between networks to optimize connectivity and cost.

Dassault’s FalconConnect service, also powered by Honeywell, offers several connectivity options including 3G/4G, Wi-Fi, Inmarsat L-Band, Iridium and Viasat Ku- and Ka-band networks for operators to provide streamlined and flexible in-flight internet access.
