B-17 Day Cancelled At Burke Lakefront Airport

YAM Cites 'Unforeseen Issues' Preventing Them From Attending The ISWAM Event

The Yankee Air Museum (YAM) has cancelled their visit of the Boeing B-17G “Yankee Lady,” to Burke Lakefront Airport for this Saturday, September 17, 2016. Due to unforeseen issues, they are unable to make the commitment and apologize for any inconvenience.

Those who had purchased rides on the B-17 should call YAM at 734.483.4030 extension 236 to discuss refunds and additional options.

The event was to be hosted by the International Women’s Air & Space Museum (IWASM).

Established in 1981 and celebrating its 35th Anniversary in 2016, the Yankee Air Museum is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization located on the grounds of historic Willow Run Airport in Michigan. IWASM offers free admission. Exhibit hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week. Office, gift shop and research center hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
