And, as advertisers, we feel our financial contributions are furthering these initiatives that will ultimately compete with our own products - essentially we are funding a competitor."

Source: From a letter sent to AOPA by a number of aviation businesses, expressing serious concerns about the direction of the organization and their allegedly competive practices... Right after AOPA received this letter, one of the businesses signing it, Sporty's Pilot Shop, was "fired" from a long-term marketing relatiosnhip with the once-mighty aviation organization.
