EAA Releases a Tentative AirVenture Airshow Lineup

Preliminary Show Schedule Revealed, With T-Minus 65 Days Until Oshkosh

With this year’s AirVenture Oshkosh being just over two months out, the Experimental Aircraft Association has decided to give us all a little pick-me-up by releasing preliminary lineups for all nine airshows. They will feature a wide variety of themed events, special appearances, and out-of-the-box performances.

Though many will fly or drive in over the weekend, AirVenture Oshkosh 2025 officially kicks off on Monday, July 21, at Wisconsin’s iconic Wittman Regional Airport (OSH). Doors open at 7:00 am, giving show-goers just over seven hours to explore and get their wits about them before the daily afternoon airshow begins.

As many know by now, there’s no slow start to the event. Day one’s airshow will feature everything from Team Redline’s RV-8s to the US Air Force’s F-22 and F-35 demonstrations. The next day centers on an Innovations theme, with a showcase of eVTOL manufacturer BETA Technologies and unmanned spraying demonstrations from American Drone.

On July 23, the EAA will celebrate the 80th anniversary since the end of World War II through a parade and warbird run-up. More military-focused events will be held on July 25, including the annual Salute to Veterans led by the Wisconsin National Guard. Multiple Air Force, Marine Corps, and Navy demonstration teams will perform throughout the week.

July 21’s afternoon airshow will host a well-deserved tribute to aerobatic legend Rob Holland, who was killed in a crash at Langley Air Force Base on April 24, 2025, while conducting airshow practice. He was a highly respected, decorated pilot, having earned six World 4-minute Freestyle Aerobatic Champion titles, thirteen consecutive U.S. National Aerobatic Champion titles, and fourteen US 4-minute Freestyle Aerobatic Champion titles.

All afternoon airshows will be held from 2:15 pm to 6:30 pm. There will also be two night airshows, one on July 23 and the other on the 26, beginning at 8:00 pm. The exact lineup is bound to change in the next couple of months, but the EAA has made one thing very clear: it is going all out for AirVenture 2025.
