New Imaging System Offers Enhanced Capabilities
Ascent Vision hsa announce that its new CM123 imaging system is in the final development phase. The 3-axis gyro stabilized gimbal is an enhanced, more capable version of the popular CM100 system. The CM123, like the CM100, is primarily designed for use on unmanned aircraft.
“Our CM123 builds on the performance and proven reliability we developed with the CM100, while offering several major enhancements such as direct drive motors and the ability to carry an additional payload,” said Tim Sheehy, Ascent Vision Founder and CEO.
The CM123 is a 3-axis gyro stabilized gimbal that includes pan, tilt and roll functionality. It can carry three different payloads: HD Electro Optics (HD EO) sensors, Infrared (IR) systems and laser pointers. Other key features include enhanced gimbal user interface, physical stabilization and software stabilization. The IP66 weather rating enables operations in adverse weather conditions, maintaining its effectiveness in a variety of environments.
Its enhanced performance capabilities, coupled with its light weight and size, make the CM123 well-suited to a variety of missions in many different market segments. The gimbal system is a simple plug and play installation, and is easily integrated and mounted into almost any platform.
“We look forward to bringing the CM123 to market,” added Sheehy. “Based on our research and what customers have told us, this system will provide operators with the performance and capabilities they need to achieve their desired results.”
Development of the CM123 has progressed very well and field testing is almost complete. Production of the gimbal system is slated to begin in early fall.
