Waterloo Wellington Flight Center Expands Sim Fleet

AL250 Scheduled For Delivery In May

After many years of owning an Alsim ALX simulator, Waterloo Wellington Flight Center (WWFC) in Ontario, Canada is adding an Alsim AL250 to its fleet.

WWFC, operating out of the Region of Waterloo International Airport in Ontario, Canada currently has a record number of students. Their 30 aircraft is one of the largest fleets in Canada including 172s, a DA40, PA28R and a PA44. Last year they logged an unprecedented number of flight hours and 1500 hours on their Alsim ALX. Their new Alsim AL250 will be reconfigurable between several classes of piston aircraft and will be delivered with Alsim’s new VFR visual system and other latest technologies.

“The Alsim ALX has been our workhorse since we purchased the device in 2014. However, due to the large number of students, it became clear that we needed to offload some of PPL and Instrument training from the ALX onto another simulator. The AL250 was the logical choice, which allows the ALX to focus on the integrated flight training programs and MCC training. We have worked closely with Alsim and look forward to working even closer during the years to come,” says Bob Connors, General Manager of WWFC.

Their AL250 is scheduled to be delivered in May, prior to WWFC’s next college program starting in September.
