Wow... what a week! Despite the lack of news coming from Lakeland and the location of what appears to be one serious dud of a Fly-In, there was plenty of other news going on around the aviation world.
The big news, of course, is that Obama has nominated Acting Admin Michael Huerta to officially take over for Babbitt... putting a career bureaucrat and non-pilot in charge of the FAA for five more years. We do have some GOOD news with Diamond Aircraft's intention to certify their ever-efficient birds for alternate fuels, including AutoGas, as well as the rebirth of the Corvalis TTX... a bird we weren't sure we were ever going to see again... and this time... with FIKI! We have ALL this and SO MUCH MORE in this week's edition of AIRBORNE!
As always, PLEASE keep sending us your feedback and ideas... you have no idea how important that is to us as we evolve the Airborne mission. As we listen to your critiques, we're getting a far better idea as to how to tweak and fine-tune future Airborne programming to fit your needs. We think you're going to like what we have in mind for the future.
